Linksys WMP54G: Installation

Linksys WMP54GI bought a Linksys WMP54G wifi PCI card last week hoping it would work with at least the NDIS wrapper. Turns out that the version 4.1 of this card won't work with NDIS. Luckily it works

You only have to download the firmware from Ralinktech and create a configuration file in /etc/Wireless/RT61STA/. Read the Ubuntu forum for the instructions.

UPDATE: Hmm, it seems that Edgy Eft is using the new rt61pci driver. I haven't been able to get it working. The driver from Ralinktech does work however (compile from source).
